The Mandalorian AR Experience & Integrated Campaign
To celebrate the release of the Mandalorian Season 2 and the launch of the Google Pixel 5 in 2020, Google partnered with Disney/LucasFilm, Jam3, Trigger and WeAre Social to launch a first of its kind AR experience and all out integrated campaign.
As Executive Producer at Jam3, I oversaw the conceptualization and production of the AR experience, video ads and social assets.
Leveraging the power of 5G, the AR experience drew on 5 iconic scenes from the series to tease the exciting new season, and put fans right in the middle of the action in their very own environments with Mando and the Child.
A smashing success!
As the core element of this huge integrated program, the AR experience was promoted through multiple video ads, and showcased in thousands of Verizon stores, alongside a robust social media campaign powered by top US influencers. The experience was a critical success, receiving a 4.3* average review score on Google Play, generating 11M views for its teaser and getting mentions in 200+ publications worldwide including TechCrunch, the Verge, Starwars.com, Engadget and Fast Company.
