Brendan Canning for City Sonic at the Drake Hotel

This short film was part of a documentary series for AUX TV and online about prolific musical artists who got their start in Toronto, from Rush to Justin Rutledge to Fucked Up.

This piece was a collaboration with Broken Social Scene's Brendan Canning and director George Vale. We shot at the Drake hotel, where Broken Social Scene made waves in the 90s. Neat to see Brendan explore the history of the hotel before it was The Drake, reflect on his career and relationships with Broken Social Scene as they grew. On this shoot, I unit managed, and for the entire AUX TV series and app, I oversaw marketing, publicity, distribution & sponsorship efforts.
