The National Cowboy Museum Code of the West

During my time as Managing Director at A_DA, the team developed a relationship with the National Cowboy Museum of Western Heritage. They were looking to attract a younger audience and make their space more interactive, and asked us to participate in a bidding process with multiple partners.

We ended up with a 2 phased approach–a month-long discovery sprint, where we proposed concepts for multiple spaces in the museum, and eventually, our Code of the West installation was selected to move forward with for Phase 2. The installation was an interactive wall consisting of a large Planar LED Array, two photo kiosks, and a variety of spatial sensors. Users can either take their portrait at the kiosks and send it to the mosaic on the wall, or simply walk in front of the wall to interact with it in real time. Themes of Western culture rotate in the background, along with the faces of participants and elements of the Code of the West that resonate most with them.
